I don't know if this is the same family but my father said he remembers his uncle Add Cullum talking about a Bradford family moving to the area and he had told them the creek was not safe to cross it looked like a small creek but the water would come from nowhere and flood the creek quick. He remembers they said the father died and their was a little baby the water had washed the baby out of the mother's arms. That is all he remembers. The father may have drowned trying to get the baby.
