Thanks for your response to my query.

Yes, I descend from Richard Bradford who immigrated to Virginia c1653 and
whose daughter-in-law, Rebecca Pace, descended from Jamestown settlers. My
line is:

Richard Bradford--Francis Taylor
John Bradford--Rebecca Pace
John Bradford--Patience Reed
Henry Bradford--Sarah Crowell
John Bradford--Mary Eelbeck
James Bradford--Margeret Ann McRae
Ella Bradford--George Watts
Annie Watts--Frank Gardner
James Gardner--Jane McCoy
Joseph Gardner

I focussed my query on the John Bradford who was b. in Halifax Co., NC, in
1787 & died in Cherokee Co., AL, in 1855 because he's the one I have the
most questions about at the moment. Why did he & his brothers leave NC en
masse? Why did he go to TN and then AL while the rest went to FL? Who
besides my James & a son who died in "The War" were his children? When did
his wife (Mary Eelbeck) die? Etc.

Again, I appreciate your response & look forward to hearing from other
members of my Alabama line.
