Hi Greg, I'm glad I was some help to you. My email address is , what's yours? I can send you the gravestone pic that way, not sure how to on here. The stones are hard to read in person, harder on these pictures.
Barbra and William were born in PA. and married Oct. 2 1847. I know nothing about her parents. Mary Ann Grove b.july 17, 1791 d.Jan. 17 1875 in W. Virginia , married John in 1811. John B. Mapel b.1786 in Middlesex Co., NJ, d.Feb. 29, 1864 in Franklin Twp.Green Co., PA, fought in War of 1812, skilled workmanship on wooden ploughs he sold to neighbors. His dad, William Maple b. June 22, 1755 in Princeton, NJ, fought in the Revolutionary War, and died March 22, 1842. they are both buried on a farm that William had owned, Daughters of the Revolution are taking care of it i think, i plan to drive out there later this year to see them. It's called Olive Thomas farm, 6 miles SE of Waynesburg, PA which is south of Pittsburg. It may now be called Orndoff Cemetary on the Miller Farm. William's father May have been Benjamin Maple III, aprox.1725-85, not quite sure, son of Benj. Jr., 1696-1777 in NJ, son of Benjamin Maple Sr. born in Ipswich, England in 1663 and died in 17!
27 in NJ. He married Elizabeth Lee in Burlington, NJ, June 4, 1695, in a house built in 1685 and which is still standing, i hope to go see that too., no information on his parents but an Edward Maple died in England in 1531. I acquired most of this information from T.Grant Maple, glad i could pass it on to you. William and Barbara's kids were John Bradford1848-64, Jacob1850-1914, Seeley1853-1926(do you have more info on him? any Pictures?? that would be great), Mary Jane,b.1857, James Samual,b'58, William Jefferson Mapel(my g-grandad)1861-1947, Ida Belle 1868-70. William had 3 other children after Barbara died. William Jefferson M. and Jennie King had 9 kids, 3 died in 1900, William Clarence (my grandpa) was the 7th, 1905-1983, the youngest Helen b1910 is alive but has alzheimers. William Clarence had 3 kids, David Eugene Mapel, my dad, b. 1933, i'm 6th of 7 kids, born 1965, i have no children but dad and mom have 16 grandchildren so far.
