Does anyone with Bradford ancestors from Henry Co TN know if their families owned slaves or had horse farms? I am looking for a connection to Calvin Bradford who came from Henry Co to southern IL around 1875. He was possibly a slave but more probably a hired hand. He was part black and part Portuguese. He changed his name to Bradford while in TN. I don't know the previous one. He was said to be good with horses. His mother's name was Julia. Thanks for any help.
