William M. Bradford
Hon. William M. Bradford, for many years a well known citizen of Gainesville, died at the home of his niece, Mrs. F. C. Groover, at Ortega, last night at 10 o'clock. The deceased had been for a number of years city tax assessor of Gainesville. He was born at Tallahassee, September 15, 1832 and was therefore only a few days short of the four-score mark. He was a son of Thomas A. Bradford, who was well known in the public affairs of the state during his time. Mrs. F. C. Groover and Mrs. W. C. Powell, of Jacksonville, and Mrs. T. B. Byrd, of Tallahassee, nieces, survive the deceased. The funeral services will take place this afternoon at 3 o'clock from the chapel of Marcus Conant. The interment will follow in Evergreen cemetery.
