Bradford, William (May 20, 1663-May 23, 1752); b. Barnwell, England. Pioneer printer of the English Middle Colonies. Set up a printing press in Philadelphia in 1685, and the first one in New York in 1693. Began publication of the "New York Gazette" on Nov. 8, 1725.
