I recall a `pudding` that was perhaps a bread type thing
It came like a dumpling of bread in some thing I can not quite be sure but think
was a custard of sorts with raisins and apple added (SERVED HOT)
(as a child I found it "YUKKY")However last Xmas visiting older kin in Outback
Australia they produced it for lunch (sorry still YUKKY)
It was back from my grandad at least (He was born 1st January,1881)
This may have been handed down but I doubt it and perhaps was a standard form of
desert for those of us on the poor side of the tracks.
There (funny) is no Alice of any description in my line till about the the
1500`s and as my GrGrGrandparents died young it is unlikely they had passed on a
recipe of any kind
If anyone is interested I will get the recipe this Xmas
