J. Neal Bradford Rites Conducted
Services were scheduled for 3 p.m. today at Culley's Chapel for J. Neal Bradford, 64, who died Wednesday at his home at 117 Westridge Dr. following a heart attack.
Officiating will be Dr. Harold G. Sanders, pastor of the First Baptist Church, and Dr. Glenn C. James, pastor of Trinity Methodist Church. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
Superintendent of the city garage for 14 years, Mr. Bradford worked Tuesday, although he had suffered recurrent illness from a heart condition.
A native of Tallahassee, Mr. Bradford was a member of a prominent pioneer family. He was active in work of the First Baptist Church.
Veteran of both World War I and II, he was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
A Mason, he belonged to the Jackson Lodge No. 1, F&AM here.
Surviving are the widow, Maurice; two sons, Edward N. Bradford of Tallahassee and Albert C. Bradford, Hollywood, Fla.; one brother, Henry C. Bradford, Jacksonville; and five grandchildren.
Active pallbearers will be Arvah Hopkins, Rainey Cawthon, Fred Pierson, W. H. Cates, Earl Levy and Frank Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers are Earl Proctor, Theo Proctor, L. D. Fain, Frank Harrell, J. H. Dowling, Ed Britsch, Henry C. Mills, Claude M. Andrews, Marvin T. Summerall, Dr. James Carr, George L. Henderson, Frank Shaw, Wilburn Dupree, Raymond Daughty, J. J. Walker, Curtis Dupree, Denton Yates, Albert Grines, Price Bryan and R. A. Shields.
