BRADFORD - Henry Crowell Bradford, Sr., 77, of 8000 Baymeadows Circle East, passed away Monday afternoon in a local hospital. He was a native of Tallahassee, and had resided in Jacksonville since 1925. Mr. Bradford was Southwest District manager for the Pennsylvania Rubber Co. retiring in 1947. From 1947 until 1956 he was engaged in the real estate business here. He was a charter member of the Mandarin Presbyterian Church, where he served several terms as a ruling elder. He was also a former elder of the South Jacksonville Presbyterian Church. Mr. Bradford was a member of Duval Lodge 159 F&A.M., a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason, a member of the Civitan Club, the Baymeadows Golf Club, the Ponte Vedra Club, the Deerwood Club, the Jacksonville Gun Club. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Carol Steele Bradford; two sons, Gale Clark Bradford and Henry Crowell Bradford Jr.; five grandchildren, Neal, Cynthia, Bryan, Carol Lynn and Henry C. sister-in-law, Mrs. Neal Bradford, of Tallahassee; and two nephews, Edward Bradford of Tallahassee; and Albert Bradford, of Hollywood, Fla. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Mandarin Presbyterian Church, 11844 Mandarin Rd., with Dr. Joseph C. Meux, minister, officiating. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, active, Ed Lorimer, Henry G. Dupree, Dick Gibbon, Herbert Bliss, C. J. Wilcox, and Irvine Williams; honorary, the ordained elders of the Mandarin Presbyterian Church, Joe Williamson, Paul Naugle, C. H. Southwell and Herbert L. Underwood. The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, memorials be sent to the Mandarin Presbyterian Church. Arrangements in charge of Hardage-Krauss Southside Funeral Home, 4115 Hendricks Ave.
