Richard Henry Bradford
Richard Henry Bradford, 82, 738 E. Park Ave., a native and lifelong resident of Leon County, died Sunday in the University of Florida Hospital at Gainesville, after a short illness.
Born April 18, 1878, Mr. Bradford was the oldest member of Pisgah Methodist Church at Centerville and was a life member of Elks Lodge 758. He was married June 24, 1903 to the former Miss Martha Eppes.
Funeral services will be held at Trinity Methodist Church Tuesday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Jim S. Farr officiating, assisted by the Rev. Dr. Glenn C. James. Burial will be in the Pine Hill Cemetery at Bradfordville with members of the Elks Lodge in charge of the graveside rites. Members will meet at the lodge at 10:30 to go to the church as a body. W. H. Cates will be in charge of Elks ceremonies.
Survivors are his wife, one brother, Robert F. (Bob) Bradford, Tallahassee; two sisters, Mrs. Frank Bickerstaff, Mrs. Frank Langdon, Columbus, Ga.; five nephews, including Richard H. Bradford of Tallahassee; two nieces, Mrs. Fred Parker and Mrs. Charles Roberts, Tallahassee, and other relatives.
