Hello...

I don't know anything about my Bradford line except my g-grandfather's name
and where he resided. I am so inclined to think he could be related to your
family based on where yours lived.

His name was Louis Bradford (I think middle initial was J.). I believe his
birthdate was 21 Nov. 1901, and date of death was 1985. He resided in
Breckenridge, TX, at time of death and for a long time before that. My
grandmother (Dorothy Mae) was born in Eliasville, TX. She had a brother, J.
L. that died
as a child with Scarlet fever in Rankin, TX. She had a sister named Tommie
Faye (Zappa was married name). Louis' 1st wife (my g-grandmother) was Merle
(or Meryl?) Latham (part Cherokee Indian, I am told). She was born in
Mineral Wells, TX.

Any info. would be so appreciated!

Here is my Bradford line, as someone asked me to post it again:

John M. Bradford born 24 Mar 1817 in South Carolina. He married Sarah Jones
on 16 Aug 1836 in Jackson Co., GA. She was born 1823 in Jackson Co., GA. or
S.C.

They are listed in the 1850 Cowetta Co., GA census. Household #1010. He is
listed as a farmer age 31 b. SC. She is listed as age 27 b. S.C.

They had the following children:

1. Jesse Oliver Bradford b. Sept 1839 in Franklin, Heard Co., GA d. 1883 in
Eastland,TX.
He married Nancy Ann (Annie) Smith on 17 Sept 1857 in LaGrange, Troup GA.
She was the daughter of Dr. Nathanial (Nathan) Newton Smith and Eliza. She
was born in 1837 in La Grange, Troup, GA. She died in June 1912 in Roby,
Fisher, TX. She had remarried a Mr. Hooper after Jesse's death.

2. Robert H. Bradford b. 1840 GA. (no other information known).
3. Meranda (Miranda) C. b. 1842 GA. ( no other information).
4. Frances E. b 1843 GA (no other information).
5. Arabella J. b. 1844, GA (no other information).
6. Bernice J. b. 1847, GA (no other information).

Referring back to Jesse Oliver Bradford and Nancy Ann Smith, I add their
children as follows:

1.John R. Bradford b. abt 1860 in GA. He married Mary Hogan.

2. Martha A. (Caroline) Bradford b. abt 1862 in Heard Co., GA. She died in
Rotan, Fisher, TX. She married a Mr. Fairly.

3. Henry Franklin Bradford b. 8 Feb 1867 in La Grange, Troup, GA. He died 26
Jul 1950 in Las Cruces, Dona Ana, N.M. He married Ada Haynes on 28 Oct 1893
in Roby, Fisher, TX.

4. Sarah P. (Ida) Bradford b. 1868 in Heard Co., GA. She disappeared aft
1884.

5. Reancy O. (Rancie) Bradford b. Nov 1869 in Heard Co., GA. She died in
Ardmore, Oklahoma.

6. Zeporah Mandora (Dora) Bradford b. 18 Jan 1872 in Alamedo, Eastland, TX.
She died 15 May 1959 in Big Springs, Howard, TX and buried in Rotan, Fisher,
TX. She married Leander Arlington (Arl) Dowell on 2 Sept 1894 in Rotan,
Fisher, TX.

7. Oma Bradford b. abt 1874 in Eastland, TX. She died probably in
Sacramento, CA. She married a Mr. Phelan.

8. Edward S. Bradford b. abt 1877 in Eastland, TX. He died abt 1880 in
Eastland, TX.

9. Katherine (Katy) Effie Bradford (my grandmother) b. 15 Jul 1881 in
Desdemona, Eastland, TX. She died 3 Jun 1963 in Rotan, Fisher TX. She
married James Franklin (Frank) Dowell on 22 Dec 1895 in Roby, Fisher, TX.
