I have no proof that Adam is the father of my William.... that info came
from LDS records. Hopefully some one on this list will be able to confirm
or disprove this connection. >>

This William is listed in Bradford Descendants by Vance A Bradford as son of
Adam Bradford and Nancy Cole, and had a first marriage to "Jane Carberry".
Wm was said to be named after his maternal grandfather, William Cole. Joseph
is also named, but only with possible birthdate of 1832. There is quite a
bit on Wm's line in the book.

<< Family tradition says we are descended from Governor William Bradford,
but that may be wishful thinking. >>

That's what I think, too. At least, I've never been able to pin down an
exact descent.
