I am looking for any and all Bradford to Morton marriages in Washington
Co., and Knox Co. Maine. (or any other north eastern county marriages of
these two names). I am having a heck of a time finding the parents of my
4th grt. grandmother Mary Bradford Morton. I honestly do not know if she
was married twice and Bradford is really her maiden name, or if Morton
was her last name and perhaps her mother was a Bradford giving her daughter
he own maiden name. This is what I do know. Mary Bradford Morton was born
Oct. 1800 in Lubec, Washington Co., Maine. She married in Lubec, Maine
in Jan 1824. She married Francis Cook and at some point they moved to Friendship,
ME. Francis Cook is a son of Capt. James Cook and Elsie Bradford. If anyone
has any old books or old VR's that show early marriages in Lubec or Washington
Co., or old Birth records that might have my Mary's parents listed on them
Please please contact me via EMAIL for a speedier response.
Thank you for any help at all.
