Am reading a great book, probably out of print, but libraries should have. I
bought it last week in a used book store. . . "The Mayflower" . . . by Kate
Caffrey, publ 1975 Stein & Day, NY. It is wonderful. Much more than the
usual fluff. One chapter they talk in some detail about ship building (as
relates to building of the Mayflower & smaller sister sihip Speedwell). . .
many specialized words that I am not familiar with. Try the book. Very
good. I have just gotten thru the first 100 pages so far but I think anyone
interested in our Bradford genises will greatly enjoy. Very possibly this
book is well known to listers, but I had not seen it before.

I also have a treasured orig. edition of Bradford's History of Plimoth
Plantation, 1898, Wright & Potter, Boston. A more cumbersome read of course,
but great to own.

Would love to be in touch with anyone desc. from . . . .

Gov. Wm. gt. grand children: Joshua & Hannah Bradford, 2nd cousins who
married each other. They had Joseph > Huldah m. Benjamin Butler of Martha's
Vineyard & then Maine. I know very little about them.
