From: Christopher Hartman

Good afternoon. Please pardon the
unsolicited posting, but I recently
acquired the following, which I
thought the Bradford family membership
might like to know about. I offer it
as follows:

[BRADFORD]. Shepard, James. Governor
William Bradford, and His Son, Major
William Bradford. New Britain, Conn.,
James Shepard, 1900. 8vo. Pp. 103.
Frontis., fullpage chart, numerous
fullpage plates (views) and text illus.
Orig. green cloth, spine and front panel
printed in gilt. Very light wear to
extremities, otherwise very good copy.
First and only edition. A skillfully
organized book, with authors of works
utilized for this volume given appropriate
attribution in the margins. Fully indexed.
Follows the Bradford-Shepard line of the
author from the Governor. Appearing on
the rear free endpaper and the opposite
paste down respectively are mounted and
manuscript genealogical notes -- referring
to a previous owners Ripley family
connection with the Bradfords. There is
also manuscript genealogy on leaf opposite
page 90. An informative and well preserved
volume. Rather scarce. Toedteberg, #876.
$75.00

I offer this subject to prior sale. If of
interest, please advise. With many thanks
for your courtesy and consideration, I am,

Sincerely,
Christopher Hartman
