Hello Joe,

I imagine that your John Bradford is from the wid., Mrs. Bradford, who m.
John Smith who was in Pasbehaigh, suburbs of Jamestowne, by 1619, I think it
was, then to Accomack ca 1627 to take up his grant he had received in England
before coming to Va. The wid. Bradford's son m. Smith's dau.,
Alice...stepsiblings married. I am not looking at my information but think
their first child was William Bradford who had a son Nathaniel Bradford. The
book The Advebturers of Purse and Person follows the Richard Smith to
Bradford line on down for four generations. Mine includes marriages from
Smith to Bradford into the Mattocks, Fisher, and Polk families of the Eastern
Shore.
