Hello All,
Has there been a connection established between the above William Bradford
and the Bradfords of the Accomack area of Virginia?
Are the origins of the Bradfords who settled in North Carolina attached to
either of the above.
My interest in the Bradfords of NC stems from the fact that David Bradford
and Richard Bradford were witnesses to the will of my ancestor, John King, of
Orange County, NC. David Bradford was also involved in the establishment of
Union Church, now Union Ridge United Church of Christ of Alamance County,
North Carolina. The identity of John King's wife has not been established;
we know simply that her given name was Sarah, which I know was a name used
often in the Bradford family. John King's will was written and probated in
1796; listed only males as heirs to his estate: sons, Thomas, John, Armour,
Edward, and William.
I would appreciate any data that may respond to these possible connections.
Best regards,
John Fox
Winston-Salem, NC
