I think that the Bradford line in Granville was not connected to the Thomas
Bradford from Sumter SC, who's son married Mary Polly Hargraves/Hargroves. This
Thomas , Jr son of Thomas M 1731 , wife Sarah I believe died in Clarke co AL in
1837. I can trace the Thomas who died in Clarke from 1808 in Hancock co, GA with
100% of certainty from the court and tax records of Hancock , Wilkes and
surrounding GA counties
He was partnered with one james Savage who married Alice Bradford in 1804 and
was either Thomas, Jr's son in law or Bro in law. Thomas , Jr is living , or at
lease is listed next to Thomas , sr in the 1801 Hancock Co, Ga tax list. I can
trace the Thomas , sr from 1784 in Wilkes co to his death in 1811 (Hancock Co,
GA) he owned the same 79 acs for the entire period.

I have not been able to tie the Thomas , jr to Sr as son but have a strong
suspicion he is due to the land and connection to the same neighbors in middle ,
GA. I also suspect Thomas , Jr is the same man in the Battle of Charleston in
1780 and either he or his father ,(sr) is the same Thomas , who owned Bradford
Springs in Sumter co, SC in 1771. The same families are connected to this
Bradford in Sc and in Halifax co, NC and there is one deed recorded in Halifax
co , NC for land in Craven co , SC for Thomas( I believe JR before he was
married ) he was married in 1782 .

I have several white papers on the Granville Bradfords that prove Thomas
(married Hargraves was NOT son of Thomas of Granville) His son Thomas died as a
broke , drunk . He married Kearney.

I have been closing in on proof that the Thomas in SC in 1771 is the same man as
Thomas bn 1730 or son Thomas bn 1757. They were both illiterate. and made their
mark on all the documents I have found. This is contrasted with most of the
other thomas Bradfords who were literate, including the surveyor. I will e mail
you the papers tomorrow and would ask you let me know what you think.

By the way the Clarke co AL Thomas Bradford bn 1757 wife Hargraves had a son
Brazil Ransom Bradford that named 6 of his kids Hargraves as middle name.
