I can't answer all these questions, but I'll do this part by
part...(this is all from my head, I've been studying the line of Wm. for
12 years)

Ok, Dorothy May DID drown. She drowned in shallow water while the
Mayflower was docked at Plymouth while the men were off ship scouting
the land to make sure it was safe for the women and children. There are
speculations on how she drowned being that it was shallow water, maybe
suicide. John did NOT die in infancy. What happened with him was that
he was an infant (or really young toddler, can't remember) when the
Mayflower set sail. William and Dorothy did not know what to expect in
the new world and wanted their son to live so they left him with trusted
friends of the family in Denmark (can't remember the name of the town
right now). John later came to the US and married, but can't remember
if he had a kid or not. If you want to me to look into this more, just
let me know....

They had two daughters, Dorothy May Bradford and Mercy, and 2 sons, but
the other son (Joseph) did not really have any descendants....like
before, I'll look more into this later if you would like..

John Bradford married Mercy Warren, not Nancy, I don't know much about
this line, and the info isn't with me right now, but I can look into if
if you want....

I have this information on a John in the Rev War for NC:
John Bradford (1708-Oct 31, 1787), Col. NC unit, m(1) Patience Reed,
m(2) Dorothy Miriam Burgess, m(3) Elizabeth Smith (p.68) (and this is
on the homepage at rootsweb)

I don't know about this, I haven't done much on this line of Bradford's,
so I can't answer your question. What I can say is that the person who
wrote this seems to be close with the dates, but off with the names,
etc. What do the rest of you think?
