Subject: [BRADFORD-L] Samuel Bradford from Snow Hill Maryland
Date: Sun, 28 Mar 1999 07:28:29 EST

Samuel was a soldier in the Revolutionary War serving as a private in Squad 6
of Captain William Purnell's Company in the Sinepuxin Battalion of Worcester
County, Maryland. Two of Samuel's sons are said to have also served in the
Revolutionary War. William, a son who was dead at the time of the 1810 will
of Samuel, is listed in squad 2 in the same Company as his father. The
identity of the other son whois said to have served is uncertain. Perhaps it
was John, though John is not listed in theSinepuxin Battalion. The
relationship of the other seven Bradfords listed in the Battalion is not
known. I would like to find the birth date and parents of my Samuel if
possible. We know that he is not the son of John Bradford of Connecticut, as
has been supposed by some. Thank You for your time.
