Thanks for your help I will share what I find.

I beleive that the Thomas Bradford of the Bradford Springs 1771 land grant is
in fact the same one who was at the Battle of Charleston , due to the same
neighbors there too. Jeremiah Brown, The Singleton Bros. and others I will list
when I get the Ft Sullivan book rather that trying to transcribe the parole
list. The only fly in the ointment , is where did Thomas Gop and why are there
no records of him other than a few Jury lists . The land at the Springs ends up
in Nathaniel Bradford's name ( he appears to be illiterate and Richard seems to
be able to write. This could mean that Richard could be a cousin or Uncle. The
Singleton Plantation records do not mention Thomas but there is some info about
Richard , a few commercial receipts between John Singleton and Richard
Bradford. The jockey club records of Bradford Springs (High Hills of Santee)
mention lots of folks inc. Thomas Sumter and wade Hampton but no Bradfords
(this is for 1786-1790) and I beleive Thomas was already gone to GA and or of
another social group ( could not read and write) while the others could. This
did not stop him from owning 1000 acs in Sumter although the sale of this land
cannot be found and ultimately Nathaniel can be shown as the Grantor . The fire
in the court house in circa 1800 might count for the lack of records and next
month I am on the way top Columbia to search the state archives.

Do you have any info that might link the Richard Bradford family and Thomas
Bradford and Nathaniel?

In Tallahassee there were two branches of the Bradfords both I beleive from the
same roots in Charlec Co, VA and they lived in opposite ends of town , have
roads named for them but I can find no acknowledgment of each other or
commercial , social or political connection or interaction. Therefor the same
thing could be in effect here and they are connected one generation and lots of
Schooling back . Richard at the Swan lake /green swamp area of Sumter and
Nathaniel and Thomas at Bradford Springs.

Let me know what you think as to the above
