I am going to SC, Sumter with Peter Sandlund to research the Thomas
Bradford family. This family is associated with Bradford Springs and I
beleive is the same Thomas Bradford that moved to Hancock Co, GA and was
first found on the 1808 tax list for Hancock Co, GA along with whom I
beleive to be his father Thomas Bradford SR (wife Sarah) the father died
in 1811 and Thomas, Jr. moved to Clarke co AL abt 1815 along with James
Savage (who married Thomas , Jr's dau Alice).

I need some advanced advice as to what libraries are the best and where
I will be able to find the 1770-1800 land and will records for what
made up the Sumter District then.
Specifically I want to trace the land transactions for Bradford in
Claremont and Claredon Counties and of course Sumter.

Can any one help
