A very strange story!

I was on vacation a couple years ago and was in the area of
the FHC. On a whim I thought I'd stop by and see if they
had anything on my BRADFORD ancestors. I walked in the door
to a darkened room full of Readers and a Computer. Stood
there a moment, not knowing what to do, when a lady
approached and asked if she could help me. I told her I had
been told since childhood that I was the 12th descendant of
Gov. Bradford and wondered if they might have any
information on him. She said, "Now isn't that strange?",
turned to a little old gentleman about 80 years old and
said, "Mr. Bradford, could you help this gentleman?". I had
a very strange sensation in the pit of my stomach! Mr.
Bradford took me over to the computer and slid in a CD and
stated he had just completed printing out the information on
his line and would do the same for me. Not knowing the
difference, I accepted and got 6 pages of descendants from
the Gov. on down to him. Sadly, it was not my line, and I
never got a chance to find him again. The lady at the FHC
told me he never returned! It took me two more years before
I retired and seriously began researching to realize I
probably missed getting to know a cousin, no matter how
distant. Since that time I have discovered I am not only a
direct descendant through my g-grandmother Lucinda Bradford,
but I am also a direct descendant to four other First
Families of the Mayflower Pilgrims, William Brewster, John
Alden, William Mullins and Robert Warren. I would love to
be able to share these discoveries with him.

These discoveries are the result of the fantastic people on
this List. With 2 more pieces of documentation, I should
have my line proven. What a great feeling!
