Hello all,

I recently subscribed to the Bradford list with the hope that I might see
something which would help my 34-year-old son-in-law find his birth
mother, J. Bradford.

He was born in Escondido, CA on 08 Dec 1963, the son of a ? Acley and J.
Bradford, and was named Raymond Acley. He spent the first 18 months of
his life in the hospital with hydrocephalus, then was adopted by a couple
named Brown. He is a bright, intelligent young man now, and the father of
a beautiful 7-year-old daughter, but I suspect the birth parents were
told that his chances for survival were slim, and they would, therefore,
not be searching for him on any of the usual adoption registries. Both of
his adoptive parents are dead now, but his older sister (also adopted)
mentioned something about the birth parents possibly being college
students from the mid-west. My son-in-law's hospital records are sealed,
so what I have told you above is all he has to go on.

He doesn't want to create any problems for his birth family, but would
love to learn more about his roots.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
