I'm sending my response to the list because I want to verify something I
had thought I had told the list when I first made the move from Montana
to NC (Maybe you weren't on the list last June). I don't have a
genealogy program, not by choice, but because I can't. I moved from MT
to NC last june and had to leave my computer behind and neither the
school nor the dorm where I am currently living will let me install FTM
(which I used back in MT) onto any of there computers. That is the only
reason I don't have a genealogy program to receive gedcoms. I cannot
afford to buy a new computer, i couldn't even afford to ship my other
one out. It has nothing to do with the cost of buying a program, I have
one already, I have the CD's with me, but I have absolutely no way of
using it. Thanks for your suggestions, but they won't help in this
situation unless u have mercy on a full time college student and buy a
computer for my birthday which is next week ;) hehe just kidding. But,
for future notice, that is why I don't want any gedcoms, they won't do
any good until I can actually afford a computer (which could be years!)
