Excellent, Thank you!
Now, the information that I had on Richard Bradford and Anna Roles came to
me from Terry Fregly. Terry notes that the children of Richard and Anna
are: Richard Bradford III, B 1691-93; Ralph (Nathaniel?) b 1695; Thomas B
1699; Philemon Bradford, B 169501700, John B 1704.
As I was trying to varify this research, I began to find conflicting stuff
that said John 1662,was the John who married Rebecca Pace. I had to
question, also, the age difference between this John and Rebecca who was
born about 1704. The date of their marriage sources indicate as 1723. This
makes John 61. The same research indicates that the children of John
Bradford and Rebecca Pace are Richard Bradford, B 1704-1719 died 1775,
Northampton Co, Nc; Nathaniel Bradford B about 1722, Died bef Feb 1757: John
born about 1708, died 1787 Halifax Co, NC; Frances Bradford; Rebecca
Bradford and Sarah Bradford.
Obviously, there is something not okay here: While John may sire children
at 61, if the dates are correct for John and Richard, it is doubtful that
Rebecca could conceive children herself at four to a max of 15 years old.
If the dates are correct, that the couple married in 1723, and John died in
1735, then these six children would have to be born in that 12 year span,
which then throws off the next generation.
The reasons above were those that made me doubt that our John, 1662 and
Rebecca Pace were married...today, after reading the arguments given on the
Pace Net Work against Rebecca being married to our John, I guess I had to
agree....
Hey, Terry out there in Bradford Land, could you help out here?
Toni
