Ok, let me answer your questions in your first message you sent
privately first....I know David left a will, I have a copy. I found out
Sam died young because I found a record at the NC state archives. I
don't know where I got the info on both David Jr and Michael, probably
either State archives or a fellow researcher. As far as where I got my
info, it came from another researcher on this line, unfortumately, I
have lost contact with her and can't even remeber her named:( and I am
living in Raleigh, NC right now, but from Montana. My line of ancestry
goes like this:
David amd Mary Lancaster>James and Rachel Hare>John and Mary
Barringer>Harry and Gertrude Fisher>Fred Hunter and Mary Frances
McNeill>John and Mary Wilder>Me (Erin Amanda) As far as I can tell, I
am not missing a generation as the dates all fit. I have info on the
Barringer line, nothing on the Hare other than her parents names (Daniel
and Esther Robinson) and nothing on Lancaster other than Mary maybe be
the disowned daughter of John Lancaster of MD? Nothing of Fisher, and
lots on McNeill and Wilder. I am assuming that you are fairly new to
this list because I have been posting my line on and off for the past
year and just this past spring or early summer, made a query on David,
David Jr from Mecklenburg/Cabarrus Cos. and David, David Jr from
Granville/Orange Cos. I started this list in the first place to find
others researching this line and so far, you are the only other on this
list with my line or at least part of it. You said you are from
David>James, but where do you go to after James? I know he does have a
son named James Robinson, and another with Robinson as the middle name
and some other children as well, but which child are you descended from?
As I said, I don't have the info with me, but I will after 5 tonight and
then I will email you again with all the info for sure. By the way, as
I said earlier, I do have David Sr. will, but have not been able to get
it all yet as it is kind of hard to read and I don't have a lot of time
to spend trying to figure it out because of school. By the way, I'm
sending this to the list also in hopes that there is someone else out
there with the same line who hasn't spoken up yet:)
