It is possible that many (but not all, of course) Wayne Co. MI
BRADFORD's might instead belong to my BRAFORD line, and descend from
Hosea and Doratha Spencer Braford (no D!!).
The names continually get "indexed" with a D in the name, when in fact,
one does not belong. (Pronounce the name as Bray-ferd) Some members
of this family, got so frustrated with their name being confused as a
Bradford name, that they actually went and had their names legally
changed to Bradford, thus adding to my genealogical nightmare! Add to
this the fact that not all members of the same family, had their name
changed!!! :)

Oh happy days!

If you ever encounter the name Braford, in any of the northern United
States, we can probably trace your ancestry to Robert or Eli Braford, of
Mass and NY, both "orfins", who each served in the Revolutionary War!
We still have not found the immigrant Braford ancestor, but we're
working on it!

Thanks for the opportunity to alert researchers to my "headache" family!
