Subject: [BRADFORD-L] Another Mayflower
Date: Sat, 15 Aug 1998 09:30:00 EDT

I copied this from another list I'm on. . . . this mentions another schooner
named "Mayflower".

In "History of Ipswich, Essex, and Hamilton" by Joseph B. Felt ©1834,
there are two tiny mentions of William Start.

1729. William Start has leave to build a wharf.
1752, Aug. 3. Schooner "Mayflower," with fish, Capt. William Start,
breaks her fasts in a gale, falls into the channel, and injures her
cargo.

Sorry there isn't anything more salient.
