Hello list. Just found this earlier at
http://www.ancestry.com/ancestry/search.asp
Pennsylvania Pensioners of 1835
Name: James Bradford
County: Delaware
Rank: Private
Annual allowance: $96.00
Total allowance received: $1491.61
Description of Service: New Jersey Continental Line
Entered on Pension Roll: Jan. 15, 1818
Began receiving Pension: Aug. 22, 1818
Age: 76
This was the only Bradford listed for PA Pensioners. There are other
states at the above page, some are accessible for free for 10 days,
others will be gone any day now so go look there ASAP. I am descended
from the above James, so if you think you have a connection with him,
PLEASE email me. James married Rachel Hare and may have married again,
not positive. My line down to me from him, is complete for my direct
line, but I am trying to get all the other lines also. FYI: he is the
son of David Bradford and Mary Lancaster of Cabarrus/Mecklenburg Co., NC
and he is from NC also. He lived in Poplar Tent and is buried in the
Poplar Tent Presbyterian Church cemetery. I am planning a trip this
summer to go down there and find the church/cemetery and try to get some
pics of the graves there. If you are descended from the above David at
all, not just through James, contact me please:) Thanks
Erin Bradford
