Subject: [BRADFORD-L] Richard Bradford b. ca. 1634 Virginia? Roll Call
Date: Tue, 14 Apr 1998 22:57:19 -0500

Richard Bradford b. ca 1634
Philemon Bradford b. in Charles City Cty, VA m. Mary Parker?
Thomas Bradford b. 1730
Philemon Bradford b. 2-17-1757 in Granville Cty, NC m. Susannah Clopton
Henry Bradford b. 2-20-1781 in NC? M. Nannie Hunt
Susan Bradford b. 9-25-1811 m. Wiley Truss----Trussville, AL

I have a great deal about this family and am willing to share. Most of it is on Family Tree Maker. I have a lot on other branches after the original Richard. This was a large family and the descendants (sons especially) tended to name their sons after their brothers. There are many Philemons, Thomases, Richards, etc. Many are listed with the same name and birthdates in the same year. Makes it a confusing family.

If you want the info and can take it in the Family Tree Maker format-e-mail me directly and I will send it.

Subject:[BRADFORD-L] Roll Call!

Ok everyone, we have had a bunch of new subscribers to ALL the lists.
Because of this, I would like people to start posting their lines. Unlike
almost every list, I don't discourage Roll Calls because I know they have
helped me. (Please make note that MOST lists will UNSUBSCRIBE you by hand
if you start a roll call, so keep it on these lists please) I am sorry if
you don't like Roll Calls, and if you feel it necessary to unsub because of
it, well, that's your loss. I DO have a couple guidelines for Roll Call.
Here they are:

1. In the subject line, put something besides "Roll Call" a good ex. is:
Black, Catherine-brn 1835 in NC or if your roll is more than one person in
particular: "Bradford line 1760-1880 Cabarrus Co., NC" or something along
those lines.

2. List as much info as you can in your posts. Don't just say "John
Bradford m. Mary Barringer", put something like "John Bradford b. June 20,
1812 Cabarrus Co., NC d. April 4, 1878 ? Co., NC m. Mary Barringer abt 1850
Cabarrus Co., NC..." If you have the info, post it in other words:) (by
the way, that is actually my line)

In other words, these are not going to be the type of roll call where you
just list the names you are searching for. Remember, there have been a lot
of new subscribers so this is a chance for you to make some connections with
new people. Also, the COVENTRY list, which is my smallest, has grown from 9
to 16 subscribers since it's last post! That is 7 new subscribers and they
have gained the fewest number of subscribers of all my lists so that should
tell you something:)! Get busy and send in your roll calls and good luck in
making some connections. I hope at least 1/2 of you can connect with
someone on these list, if not ALL...that is my goal and that is the reason I
started these lists, to help people with common lines connect by providing a
forum to just throw out their lines.
