My suggestion would be to start with the 1790 PA census...incidently I have
a copy here (soon to go on the homepage) of a James Bradford in Washington
Co., PA with 2 sons under 16, and 4 daughters and a wife. and another James
in Washington Co., PA with 3 sons under 16 and 2 daughters. If you know
anything about Mary's siblings, such as how many there were, that would help
a great deal there. Side note: those are the only James in the 1790 PA
census for Bradford. next i would try looking for Henry Pethel in the 1800
PA census, might start in Washington county there too. Hope that helps.
