I am sending the response to the list also. As most of you are aware,
William Bradford was not just "a passanger" of the Mayflower...he was the
1st govenor of the Plymouth Colony for 36 years, that I want to say first
off. Now about your question....there are some books written on the
descendants of passanger of the Mayflower, but i'm not sure they would
contain descendants that were born in Europe. The names of the books I'm
thinking of have escaped my memory so if any of our fellow subscribers can
tell me, please do so and send the titles and/or authors to the whole list.
I have 7 World family tree cd's so I will look up in my own info to see what
I come up with. Here is the information I have on hand about John Bradford,
son of William who was left behind in Leyden, Holland when William and his
wife, Dorothy May, came over on the Mayflower

John Bradford b. 1618 in Leyden, Holland. d. September 21, 1676 in Norwich,
CT m. Martha BOURNE 1640 in Plymouth, MA.

Martha BOURNE b. 1610-12 Kempsey, Worchester, England

My guess that if the above info on the date of their marriage is correct,
then most likely your Richard was NOT his son if he was born in England
since John and Martha were in MA by 1640, then again, John could have been
married before Martha, but it's doubtful. I just dug up some of my info on
that line of Bradfords and the above info on John and Martha comes from the
book (I believe) "Descendants of Governor William Bradford Through the
First Seven Generations" compiled by Ruth Gardiner Hall. There is also
another book called "William Bradford of the Mayflower and his descendants
for four generations" by Robert S. Wakefield.

My question to you now is where did Richard immigrate to and what date? I
have a book on early Bradford's dealing mostly with 16/1700s, not sure where
it is exactly, i'm going to look for it, but I do remember seeing a Richard
Bradford in it, somewhere around NC or VA, I think.
