All we know about Elijah in VA is from 1782-84, and his relationship to
these other Bowles and their possible relation to each other. Elijah was not
a rich man that I can tell. He probable worked on his family farm. I have
him living in Henrico Co,Va 1782-84. Gideon and David both lived in Henrico
Co.There was also a John who lived next to the Hughes and a Thomas and
Benjamin that lived next to each other in Henrico Co. They moved into
Henrico Co in the 1740-50's. Elijah had enough money to buy land in Barren
Co in 1809. This is really going to get deep before it is over.
