Researching Nathaniel Parrish Bowles, born 1804, Nelso County, Va., died Mar
22, 1881, wife Martha Miller Gay, born May 4, 1808, Harrisburn, Va., and
died Dec 29, 1863, Brownstown, WVa. Children are David Edwin Bowles, born Apr
8, 1849, died Aug 14, 1920, married to Fannie Jane Holt at Kanawha County,
WVa. (Both are buried at Hamlin, WVa) Dr Winfield Scott Bowles, born Oct 26,
1851, Nelson County, Va. died...unknown, married to Roxie Lena Woods. Other
children of Nathaniel and Martha were Charles, Samuel, William, Oscar, Walter
and Augustus.
