First of all thank you all so much for responding to my email, I didnt know if I was going down an old road that had already been traveled, or if there might be something to this. Knowing, in my 9 short years of working on my dads family, that families stayed close together, I thought that this might be a good lead. I had seen this Wm & Cynthia there before, but didnt really think much of it, since I was trying to work harder on Levi's early life, in Mississippi. I also had done a lot of research on Rosanna Young, who stayed pretty close to Levi, from Mississippi on to Crawford Co. AR. But I have since found out that Rosanna was not a Blevins after all. My cousins and I were sure she was a sister to Levi, but I have since proven that she is not. The blood connection is James Henry Young, Rosannas husband, which is Elizabeth Blevins' brother. In 1880 Crawford Co AR. Upper Twnsp, Levi & Elizabeth have two children living with them that they say are a niece & nephe!
w. William age 14 & Sarah age 9 whose parents are both b in Alabama. The kids are born in Ar. If I could prove who these children belong to, at least I would have a brother of Levi, as long as it is not a census mistake. I have been working on that. Also, in Tishomingo Mississippi where my Levi Blevins b 1817 first shows up and marries Elizabeth Young, Levi buys 160 acres in 1842 from Daniel & Elvire Willhelm. In 1843, Levi sells this land to James P. Hicks. Has anybody heard of these families in their Blevins research?
After I made my post, to the list I found in Ancestry, Daniel & Sarah Belcher & their childdren. William Blevins b 1786, is one of their children. Is this the same Wm that moves to Washington Co. AR and marries Ava Collins? Wasnt there a speculation that William was married before Ava, and that my Levi could have come from that family before Ava? I thought that it was interesting that this research took me back around to that Wm Blevins b 1786 in Washington Co. AR. That again, is pretty close to Levi in Crawford Co. AR. Has anyone else heard that? And has all Wm's children been accounted for? I havent really researched this Wm because there were so many possiblities who my Levi could belong to. But he could possibly be from Levi b 1779. My Levi does name a son Levi and he also has a grandson, Levi. I just thought all of Levi Blevins Sr. b 1779 were accounted for. Maybe he is that unidentified male, 1815-1820. The dates certainly fit. Thanks again for all this!
discussion and if there is anything more, please post it. I would definetly like that discussion paper Ron. I would love to read it. Please try to send it to me. If I cannot open it I will let you know. Thank you all again!
