According to notes attached to a will of my ggggrandfather's, his
son-in-law, James Alexander Cobb, was taken from his home and hanged during
the Civil War by the Blackwell Raiders. Further in the reading, the
Blackwell Raiders are mentioned again concerning the shooting of Martin
Nix. I have tried to find information on this group and have not been
successful. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Karol Ann
