Is it possible that your Wm Black had a brother,Lewis (Louis)? I write only because Effingham IL is close to Wayne Co.IL, and I'm grabbing at straws. I'm looking for any family members of Lewis Black, bn Kentucky 1820, married Nancy Wadkins in ILaround 1840. I don't know his parents names, or his siblings. The little that I do know is that he was probably married more than once, and had a lot of children,among them my g-grandfather John and another son, Jules. Is this a connection?
