In my husband's line is a James Osborne Black born approx 1820 in Pickens, SC, son of David b.1782 SC and Sarah Black. David may be the son of Thomas and Ellenor. We've wondered where the Osborne name came from. Does anyone know the connection between the Blacks and the Osbornes?
