I' m looking for any information on the parents of John A. Black. According to the 1880 census, his father was born in Germany and his mother was born in Kentucky. John moved to Tabor, IA in 1872 and married Rebecca Ann Addy (who's family had moved to Fremont County from Ross county, Ohio).

All the info I have on John is from the census and from an obituary that is long on sentiment and short on information.
