Hi,
I hope someone can help me with this family. I think they are probably a
second family for my gg-grandfather. Combining the 1900, 1910, & 1920 Census
records for Belvidere Precinct, Thayer County, Nebraska, I find:
James W. Black b. Feb 1842, Ohio, dies between June 1900 & April 1910
Probably married Martha about 1881 in Illinois (or Ohio)
Probably second marriages for both of them
Wife: Martha J. Black b. abt 1844, Ohio
1910 census shows Martha as having had 7 children, 5 still living
Martha dies after 1920
Their son:
Francis (Frank) Black, b. abt 1884, Illinois
Marries Mayme after 1910, most likely in Nebraska
His wife: Mayme unknown, b. abt 1891, Nebraska
Daughter: Nana Black, b. abt 1914, Nebraska
Daughter: LaVonne Black, b. abt 1920, Nebraska
(Census record might indicate LaVonne born 1917)
I can't locate ANY of them in the 1930 census.
Any information on these folks would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Dick
