Charles Black b. abt 1845 in Ireland, or Nova Scotia
Married Sophia Voute b. abt 1848 in Penn.
In Chicago 1880 Census.
Children Clarence, Dossie, Birdina and Henry (Harry) b 1887
Harry is my grandfather. And married Ruth Howie in 1920's. She was his second wife. Harry was in the army and stationed in Texas some time after 1908 and before 1920.
Charles' father may also be named Charles, which is where the confusion is. I had at one point naturalization papers for Charles in Chicago that said he was born in County Clare, Ireland. They have been lost and I do not remember a birth date, or age. Any help is welcome
