"Cousin Aubrey found Elizabeth's last name in one of the books he borrowed from my Aunt Jo some time back. Her family name was Goodsin. She was born in Georgia to her mother Rebecca (probably Scott) and her father James Goodson."

The McCoys and Blacks are the line I am most familiar with. I have little on my mother's mother who was Elenor aka Nora Ferguson- she married Josie Black and Simeon Walker McCoys son Thomas Jasper McCoy. Hope that was a help to you.
