I am searching for parents and siblings of Mary 'Polly' Black who married William Davis circa 1781 probably in VA. William was born in Hanover Co. VA and served in the Revolutionary War from Abemarle Co. VA. I have heard that Mary was married to a Mr. Pogue/Poag previously but not verified. Mary and William were in VA until about about 1783. They lived in KY and TN before settling in northeastern AL around 1820. Mary predeceased William who died in 1848 in Jackson Co. AL. It is believed that she died there and is buried beside him in the Maynard Cove Cemetery. I will be happy to share info. Fran
