I am descendent of their child Thomas M Black b.1842 d.1903. I have noticed there are quite a few Josiah Oglethorpe Black's in the Indiana-Illinois border area during this time. I know this Josiah is somehow related to Josiah and Rebecca (Oglethorpe) Black of North Carolina and Kentucky, but if they are his grandparents, or his parents I don't know. I suspect they are his grandparents as they would have been pretty old to be having a child in 1804, when I believe this Josiah was born. This Josiah O. moved from Clark County, IL to Champaign, IL thence to Henderson, IL and finally to Guthrie, IA. He died 01 Feb 1880 in Iowa. Was he the son of Thomas Black, 1782-1834? Any help is greatly appreciated.
