I have been looking for the parents of Henry Black born 1801 Kentucky. Married Dicy Brown, born 1811 Kentucky, in 1832 in Oldham County, Ky. Her fathers name was George Brown. I think her Mother was named Anne and a brother named Rice born in 1818/19 but am not sure. In the online records from Oldham County Dicy is listed as Docy but I know this is her.

There are only a few Blacks in the area in the 1810 sensus that have boys under 10. One is named James. I have seen a tendancy in older records for the frist son to be named after the Grandfather and since Henry's first son is named James, I am very interested in any info on him. Thanks in advance for any help and thank you for all these great posts.
