From all the records I have your Uriah (Uri) Black was actually a decendent of the Schwarz or Swartz lineage who came to the United States in about 1700 from what is now Germany. Uriah Black was born 6 November 1806 in either Kentucky (which he states in the 1880 Census) or Preble County, Ohio, and died 10 May 1882 in Clinton County, Indiana. Uriah Black married Mary Ann Wolf on 10 May 1828 in Preble County, Ohio and is the daughter of John Wolf and Elizabeth Welsh. Uriah and Mary Ann had the following children, i.e., Daniel Black (b. 28 April 1832), William L. Black (b. 19 December 1829), John Deem Black (b. 27 July 1834), Henry H. Black (b. 1837), David Black (b. 30 May 1839), James Black (b. 19 August 1842), Uriah Black (b. 25 May 1845), George W. Black (b. 20 November 1828), Jessie B. Black (b. 25 August 1848), Mary E. Black (b. 1 November 1851), and Sarah E. Black (b. 16 December 1854). Your Daniel Black was born 28 April 1832 and died 23 September 1897 and married C!
atherine Booher, the daughter of Gardianus Booher and Mahala Hampton, on either the 20th of October or November 1851 in Montgomery County, Indiana. Daniel and Catherine had three children of record, i.e., William Leander Black (b. 6 October 1852 and died in 1920. William married Phoebe C. Scott (b. 7 May 1848 and died 12 February 1913) on 20 June 1872. They had two children of record, i.e., Linna Black (b. 18 April 1877 in Montgomery County, Indiana, and died in 1960) who married Thomas Allen Harris on 7 December 1893. Linna and Thomas Allen had two children, i.e., Ruby Lovee Harris (b. 18 October 1894 in Montgomery County, Indiana and d. 1956 in Montgomery County, Indiana, and married Frank Garvey in 1919 in Danville, Illinois) and Randal Harris (b. 10 March 1904 and married Juanita Warrick on 2 May 1925). The third child of Daniel and Catherine was Albert Black (b. 3 December 1865 in Montgomery County, Indiana and d. 9 Feberuary 1954 in Montgomery County, Indiana) who married Lillian Ray on 7 August 1872. Albert and Lillian had two children, i.e., Margaree Black (b. 13 March 1895 and d. 1959 in Montgomery County, Indiana) who never married, and George Black on who I have no information. Uriah Black's parents were Daniel Black (b. 2 September 1777 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania ) and Elizabeth "Betsey" Deem (b. 5 November 1783 in Campbell County, Kentucky and d. 4 June 1867 in Preble County, Ohio) who were married on 25 April 1802 in Campbell County, Kentucky. Daniel's parents were John Schwarz or Swartz (b. 13 December 1756 in Rockingham County, Virginia) and Catharine Huffman (b. ~1768 in Berks County, Pennsylvania). From John Schwarz lineage goes back!
