I descend from Lucy Hodges Black, b-1813, TN and Samuel Black, b-abt. 1814, TN. I've just begun researching this line and would like to make contact with others who are tracing this family.
I show the children of this couple to be:

Sarah Black, b-abt. 1840
William Black, b-abt. 1842
Marietta 'Wamelkta' Black, b-Aug. 1850
Josephine (Dolly) Black, b-Feb. 1852
James E. Black, b-Aug. 1854
and my ggrandmother Lucy Hettie Mariah Black, b-Mar. 1856

Samuel (died-1887) and Lucy Hodges Black (died 1888) are buried in Osborne Cemetery, Osborne, Kansas.
