I have a little information regarding your David Black who according to many genealogical records was born in 1840 (was probably actually born in 1849) in Northumberland County (now Northampton County), Pennsylvania. David Black married Eliza Minerva Cleveland on 10 September 1883 in Golden City, Barton County, Missouri and they had at least one child, i.e., James Larkin Peter Black, who was born in Golden City, Missouri on 3 July 1884. They also had a daughter born in Golden City on 15 January 1886 but I have never found her name. Eliza Minerva Cleveland was the daughter of Larkin Jerry Cleveland and Minerva Parker. It then appears, based primarily on LDS records, that David and Eliza lived in Barton County, Missouri for a good part of the 1880s. Wish I had more data but am afraid that this is all I currently have on your David Black. However, you might contact Millie Conrad at as she performs research on the Black Family in Barton County, Missouri.
