I am trying to locate the parentage of our Gr Gr Grandfather Piney Black Helm. He was born abt 1849 McCracken Co, KY. He married Julia Elizabeth Maxwell from Missouri & they lived in Independence Co,Arkansas, had 8 children. I feel his middle name may be the maiden name of his mother. If anyone has a BLACK family member who married into the HELM OR HELMS family of Virginia or Kentucky, please let me know. My Piney Black Helm's father was George Helm supposedly from Virginia.
